Finding the perfect high chair

Everly is finally at the point in her little life where she needs a high chair!

*sob* She’s getting SO big SO fast!

I’ve been looking at different high chairs probably since I found out I was pregnant and there are SO many great options on the market now, I just don’t know which to choose!

High chairs have come a LONG way! I remember just a few short years ago the puffy, hard to clean fabric covered chairs that my friends used for their kids and am so grateful for the newly improved chairs that are functional + beautiful.

After much research, I’ve narrowed my picks down to these top 6.

My top 5 necessities for a high chair are:

  1. Easily cleaned
  2. Comfortable
  3. Long term functional use: I want a chair that can grow with her!
  4. Sleek/Modern design {no eye-sore’s in my casa!}
  5. Adjustable: Different height positions

Modern High Chair Roundup-2

One: Stokke ‘Tripp Trapp’ | $249 | The Tripp Trapp is one of the hottest high chairs available right now. It’s made from beautiful European birch wood & is designed to fit from baby to adult. It has a baby set and cushions for added comfort as well. Fully adjustable & ergonomic. Come in a variety of different stains to match your decor & preference. Does NOT have wheels to move around easily.

Two: Peg-Perego ‘Siesta’ | $298 | This chair can be used from birth! It has five recline positions (perfect for babes with reflux) and nine height positions to grow with your child. Beautiful upholstery that is easily wipeable. Three different footrest positions.  5 point safety harness. Has floor friendly casters so it can be moved around the kitchen easily. Can be folded so that it’s compact!

Three: Boon ‘Flair’ | $279.99 | Boon’s take on this high chair is “No cracks. No crevices. Therefore, no abyss full of crumbs.” This is a one-piece seat and is super sleek looking! Has a continuous height positioning with pneumatic lift (all with the touch of your foot). Weight limit is 50 pounds + max age of 4.

Four: OXO Tot ‘Sprout’ | $249.99 | This chair can be used from 6 months to 5 years. Both the seat and the footrest adjust in height for a perfect, comfy fit during all stages. The seat and tray also adjust in depth. AND all of the adjustments can be made sans tools! Also super easy to clean.

Five: 4moms | $299.99 | Available March 2016! MAGNETIC tray! (What?!) Magnetic tray top holds 4moms plates and bowls in place. Comes in 3 different colors. 3 height + tray positions. Can be used for kids up to 60 pounds. Has a removable foam insert that is easily wipeable.

Six: Ikea ‘ANTILOP’ | $14.99 | On a budget? Can’t beat this Antilop high chair from IKEA! This chair is basically a plastic shell sitting on stainless steel legs. Easily wipeable. It is super light weight + easy to move around the kitchen even though it does not have wheels. Also has a cushion accessory insert for more support.

I’ll be honest, I’m not sure which chair to go with! They all have wonderful qualities.

What do you think? Do you have a favorite? If you had to pick one, which would you go with?
