A Weekend Adventure with CYBEX

This post was sponsored by CYBEX as part of an Ambassador Program for Influence Central. I received the CYBEX Balios Stroller and Aton Q Infant Car Seat to facilitate my review.

Old Winter Garden is the perfect local hangout spot that we love taking Ever to! It’s also lovingly called ‘Plant St.’ hence the street that it’s on. It’s filled with adorable shops, wonderful restaurants and wine bars, and a quaint little path that is all lit up with glistening lights in the evening. One of my absolute favorite features is the old brick that makes up all of the buildings. It’s such a beautiful & quiet little hangout spot and it’s the perfect area to stroll Ever around in her stroller.

A few posts back I introduced you to the CYBEX Balios Stroller and Aton Q Car Seat and talked about the amazing safety features of both items. After spending some time with this stroller and car seat, I’ve been able to assess the many different features available that are definitely worth taking a look at if you’re in the market for new baby gear!

Before heading out to Plant St., we installed and placed Ever in the Aton Q Car Seat to give it a test drive and see how she likes it. The install was fairly simple and didn’t take too much time. The car seat itself is ultra lightweight (9 lbs) which I love. The seat has lots of padding for comfort, perfect for a new little baby, however it was a little much for Ever and I think she was warm (we’re having 90 degree FL weather right now!). The Aton Q Car Seat also has a HUGE canopy that blocks out the sun which was probably my favorite design feature of the car seat. You can see just how big it is in the photo below! Overall, I think this car seat is absolutely perfect for a  newborn/infant and also for bigger babies who love being snuggled in with extra padding. It’s incredibly stylish (my hubby was calling it the space pod) and has a very modern look!

Plant St. is the perfect location to test drive a new stroller! After parking in our normal spot by the splash pad, I lifted the gate to the Tahoe to grab the stroller. Now…this might seem a little excessive giving you a walkthrough of getting a stroller out of the car. But if you’re a mom, you know how many times we actually have to do this and how important it is to see just how easy or difficult it is to get these things out and in! Surprisingly, the Balios Stroller was a breeze and so lightweight to lift out of the back of my Tahoe (it’s so tall!) and also put back in. It also folds up SO compactly so there’s lots of room for other storage. Bonus: you can also do it one handed! For such a sturdy stroller, I was really impressed with how light it was to get in and out.

Now for our adventure! There is an amazing splash pad at the end of the shopping area where it has a gorgeous little park and grassy area…perfect for babies to roll around and relax on a blanket. It’s really important to me to have a sturdy, non jiggly stroller and I wanted to test this bad boy on different types of terrain…luckily for me there are brick paths, pavement, and grass in this area. I have to say, the stroller has big stylish wheels and they’re not just sleek, they’re also pretty sturdy too! It definitely passed my test. The only thing that I wish was a little bit more “firm” was the handle bar for pushing.

Some of my favorite aspects of the Balios Stroller are the XXL sun canopy (perfect for our Disney days and the HOT Florida summer sun), the large shopping basket underneath the seat, and the adjustable handle bar. The stroller also has an easy to maneuver foot brake.

The CYBEX Balios Stroller is truly a gorgeous stroller. It has so many wonderful features and has different aspects like the foot rest that grows with your little one. It comes with so many accessories so you’re able to truly customize it and make it your own.

I hope you’ve enjoyed reading my reviews on both the CYBEX Balios Stroller and Aton Q Car Seat. I always strive to give you an honest look into what it’s like owning and using these products before you invest your own money into them. You can always visit your local Buy Buy Baby and test drive them for yourself as well!
