There are 2 beans in this picture…one’s a bit smaller than the other one!
OH BABY! I’m SO blessed and excited to announce that Baby C is expected to arrive September 30th! I am officially 14 weeks and the hubby and I are beyond thrilled to welcome our little bundle in a few months!
I just got back from a trip to Chicago where I decided that “the bean” was the perfect place to announce my own little “bean”.
I have been a bit MIA on the blog recently for the past few weeks, it’s been such a whirlwind! But I’m back and really excited to keep writing. My focus is still going to be food & events related but I want to start writing more on being a first time mom & my new experiences and everything those will bring, of course!
I have to be honest, my first trimester was a breeze! I am SO blessed! I never had morning sickness…only some nausea but only in the evenings! I haven’t been overly exhausted, just a little more tired than normal. Hubby says I have been super chill and relaxed. All in all, it’s been a fabulous experience so far and I’m looking forward to my 2nd trimester and the new experiences it will hold.
No weird cravings yet! The only thing that I CANT STAND is the smell of raw meat & Pizza Hut’s chicken wings in a cardboard take out box <—– I can’t explain that. My friend picked some up and I was in the car & held them for her and literally almost lost my cookies AKA barfed all over her new Acura 😉
Also, I SWEAR I felt the baby kick for the first time yesterday…I had just finished eating and stretched back on the sofa and felt a little “poke” or “pop” literally the weirdest *best* feeling ever! I googled it and it said that women can feel the baby move between 16-20 weeks. What was your experience? Did you/your wife/friend feel anything earlier than 16 weeks? I don’t think I’m crazy! 😉
Thanks for celebrating this moment with me, I truly appreciate it and am looking forward to sharing my journey with you!
